Direct Box
Allows

etc.) to a mixing board via low impedance (microphone type) cables or
snake. Passive system (no battery required).
Active Direct Box
Same basic use as the SFDB Direct box, but allows
more flexibility and control over the signal due to powered circuitry.
Features a ground lift switch to eliminate grounding loops (which
produce hum). Has -20db or -40db pad switch for signals that are too “hot”
and distort. Is powered by a 9 volt battery or power supply.
Specs: Frequency response 20Hz-20KHz + 3dB input
impedance 1MO, jack + jack link. Output impedance 6000, balanced XLR
attenuation switch -40dB, -20dB, 0dB ground switch. Connected / lifted /
floating DC input. 9V battery or 100mA, negative tip power input. Low
battery LED (iapprox. 4.5V).
