Hohner Octave Tuned Harmonicas
Octave harmonicas have a double row of holes with
reeds tuned exactly one octave apart. When played, they sound like two
harmonicas simultaneously playing the same tune in different octaves.
This enables a single player to get a stronger, full-bodied sound not
possible with a regular diatonic. The octave harmonica is the harmonica
equivalent of a 12-string guitar and is ideal for regional and international
music styles like Cajun, Old Time and Irish music.
